Studio Scratches (est. March 2008) is dedicated to assisting you become excellent at the art of scratching. It features articles and videos on: scratch tutorials, how to scratch, free beats for scratch practice (Free Beat Friday), interactive scratch training videos (or “question and answer” “QnA” videos) and many other hints and tips surrounding the art of scratching.

DJ Short-E / Emma Holmes is the creator of Studio Scratches. She has been scratching since September 2000 when she fell in love with hip hop and all things scratch related. She currently live in Bridgwater, UK. Scratching has taken her to many places in the world including the UK, NYC, Rome and Finland and she has met some amazing people. It is her desire to pass on all that she can to help people become awesome at scratching. When she is not on the decks or making beats she loves to surf and travel.
